Instant pot broccoli is one of the easiest instant pot side dishes you’ll ever make! Ready in 10 minutes from start to finish this pressure cooker broccoli is a must-try recipe.
Rinse the broccoli under running water and divide it into larger florets.
Pour 1 cup of water into the inner pot of instant pot and place the steamer basket inside. Add broccoli florets.
Close the lid and lock it into its position. Set the steam releasing valve to SEALING and press the MANUAL button (or PRESSURE COOK) and set the timer to 0 minutes.
When the instant pot comes to pressure (the silver pin goes up), release the pressure manually by turning the steam release valve to VENTING. Wait, until the pin drops down to open the pot.
Season the broccoli with salt, black pepper, olive oil and oregano.
Serve right away!
Notes
I used 2 broccoli heads with a total weight of 1.1 pounds (500 grams).
Olive oil and oregano are optional but highly recommended. Your broccoli will taste way better if you use them.
Broccoli is best served warm!
The overall time includes prep time + cooking time only. Count with 8 minutes – this is the time that the pot needs to come to pressure.
