Sweet churros with chocolate dipping sauce are one of my favorite desserts. Making churros from scratch is so easy!

Prep Time: 20 Min

⅔ cup all-purpose flour ¼ stick unsalted butter 1 cup water pinch of salt 2 teaspoons sugar 1 egg oil for frying

Cook Time: 10 Min

1. Place water, butter, sugar, and a pinch of salt into a medium-size saucepan. Bring to the boil. 2. Add the flour and mix vigorously until well blended. 3. Remove from the stove and let it cool a bit. Once it is not too hot, add the egg and work the egg into the dough. 4. Pipe the dough directly into the hot oil.

Serve warm with thick hot chocolate!

Homemade churros are best eaten right away. The longer they sit the softer they get.
